As I'm working on refining my behmoth model. I thought wouldn't it be nice to be able to create a special morph using a higher subdivided and further refined version and just be able to switch to it at render times on the fly. Not like morphs or object replacement but a way to model an object like my behemoth and keep the intial sub d low so the bones deform it smoothly but after that then it switches to a higher version and morphs out additional muscles and details created on the higher mesh, kinda like what z brush does.

I dunno just a thought.
