Hi guys,

This is a personal version of the baron harkonnen, we take a different approach to the baron of David lynch,s film cause we think that,s unbeatable.

This is a cooperative project.

Modeling and design : me (3dsmax6)
Shading and lighting : combat mantra (lightwave 7.5)

Sorry about being modeled in max guys, but there´re some circumstances that oblige to me there ;)

No matter what app you used to model, this is really nice!! My one criticism is that his head is too symmetrical. The left side seems to be exactly like the right side. Everybody's face is a little asymmetrical, especially the old Baron's. I think his would be a little more knarled and disfigured. But I love the eyes (really piercing stare), the shape of the head, the lighting. It's really good!!!!

Awesome! It is a little symmetrical, but it's definitely some great work.

amazing. I love the armor, it may be a bit 'clean' for that race but appropriately evil. :)

The face (as mentioned already) needs a bit of asymetry. Our idea of beauty is based in part by a person's symetricaly features. You will note, that the more symetrical the face the more 'beautiful' they are thought to be. To create someone ugly a high degree of asymetry might help. or scars perhaps.

Oh, and I love the lack of eyebrows!

fabulous work

Thank you guys,

Well, i gotta say that i agree 100% about the symmetry thing, specially on the head, my fault, since y was modelling-designing...

I will have that in mind for next projects... :)

here´s a capture from modeller (i will not dare to show here the 3ds one :D j/k)

Wicked!

It's all really good, except for the symetry, and I think some more bumps of the rosatia type... I ment redish in color.
I think those are tad'ly over glossy bumps of the harkonan type.

Is the baron ever gloat/float (lol!) inside of your-all's 3d-world?

I guess those are pimples, not sweat (looking at the highres version).

I like them either way, good work.
