View Full Version : quick and easy way to build an asteroid/mine field

is there a quick way to use particles to make a mine feild in LightWave? i have never really used LW for animation before?
Any tips or pointers?

You could make 3 or 4 asteroid standarts in the modeler, then create a partigon field . After that assign the standart asteroids to them (do remeber how anymore but it is usually common knowledge) remeber to put rotation on the assign button so that it doesn't seem the same asteroids. This works for still shots but it takes time.

I would use hypervoxels when I want to make a fly-by asteroid field, I don't use it for still shots because it doesn't have mutch detail (motion blur helps : it blends it's lack of detail with the enviroment) :D hope this helps
