Has anyone here used this plugin before?

Is it good, bad or otherwise?

How does the waves interact with land?

I ask this because I really like some of the renderings I have seen on there site and the image on the back cover of issue 31 of keyframe. What you all think, anyhting out there doing any better for the price point of $295.00

I use v. 1.5 and think it's only okay. The rendering looks great, but has its quirks. For example, positioning the camera at certain angles, or low to the horizon, the surface plane deforms in such a way to leave black areas, as if the camera's underwater, but not rendering it as such.

This could be fixed in the new version, though. My version also does not interact with land, though it does add wakes for boats and things.

I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for, but hopefully it's a start.

NatureFX does not interact with land but you can create
boat wakes, ripples and animate floating objects on ocean
surface. Whitecaps are not part of NatureFX. You have
to fake them with textures.
It is a displacement plugin with an super water shader.
Most people overlook that you can also render excelent clouds
with NatureFX. Clouds look real and flytrough is rendered very
fast.
