The link to resolve's website led me to a "connection was refused" error in the mozilla browser and a "the page cannot be displayed" message in IE (and also, Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer )

The directions link for Resolve was to Varto Tech.

Not that there's anything you can do about their site being down (and it may work later) but I thought you might like to know.

We have a location for Boston and nicely located across the street from a T-Stop. As a nice bonus Peter Jespersen, one of the developers of Lightwave 8s new bone tools will be there! :)

What's the starting time for New Jersey on Saturday? I'm looking, but don't see it...

I'm bummed I missed the NY, NJ one!

I guess I'll have to wait for the LW 9 Tour.

Sorry to hear that Al, I wouldve liked to have seen you there. It went pretty well. Id like to do another one sometime. :)

It went pretty well. Id like to do another one sometime.

Larry's being a bit modest here. It went very well, picked up another slew of LW tricks, etc.

Watching him work adds another dimension to CD's, books, etc.

I'm not a character guy, but one minute watching him "SpinQuad" some polys and talk about what he was doing gave me one of those "duh" moments - NOW I understand what the hell is going on. I going to be doing my own head (hey, like he said, work on what you know) in my spare time. More importantly, I can use those same techniques on my industrial models - with the use of engineering plastics, they aren't "square" anymore - lots of equipment has the same flow.

I got my money's worth in the first 10 minutes... as he's doing a face, I'm trying to anticipate his next move... well, I was wrong. Where I would have spent time building more polys for volume, he made one move and bingo - done. Transfer that to my bag of tricks. There is nothing like watching someone that worked on weekly deadlines move through Modeler.

Another great part - I met some people from previous tours, and met a whole new bunch of NY area LW'ers. Even better, two of them live in Brooklyn. I'm hoping to get together at the next NY LW group meeting (too bad I was already booked for this past Tuesday's meeting).

After it was over, Lee and Larry and a bunch of us grabbed some snacks, and Larry and Lee whipped out a couple of LA stories. Funny, and at the same time lets me appreciate my own gig.

Well worth my time and money, and will be at the next one, too.

John

Hey John Thanks!
It was great to finally meet a lot of the names from the forums.
You guys were a great bunch and I had a great time hanging out and talking during and after. :)

Object,
Not sure yet. :)
