View Full Version : LW[8] Transparency Bug

The message which I put here was about a user error. So the main reason for posting is gone. However there is the pixel blending problem, if anyone can shed some light on it...

There are a few things going wrong here:

-OpenGL weirdness
-When in any of the surfaces numberer 1 to 5 in the transparency channel 'Pixel blending' is selected the whole transparency goed heywire. This is also the case in 7.5c. If this is not a bug can someone explain me why this occurs?

Here's the 7.5c image:

And here is the scene file, objects and maps.

hmm can you explain what the problem is a little more? and what effect you are trying to get?

Firstly wouldn't it be alot easier to use lightwaves gradients instead of an image?

I find the gradients for just mapping in a certain direction rather cumbersome. And they dont work for backdrop either, so I have a gradient loaded anyway.

The problem is, when you put an image in the transparency layer, and set the edge condition to 'edge' the Pixel blending will screw up the surface.
