You must insert this feature the real light is very important for professional work of illuminotecnic.
You can see this feature in Lightscape and 3d studio viz!

those are archetectural apps. Lightwave is an artistic tool.

Well, having this feature will certainly please certain people but without a better radiosity engine it will not make sense, so there is quite some work there for NT.

It doesn't have many tools needed for arch design. It doesn't even have a ruler.

Why would you need a ruler in layout to design arches. Isn't that what modeler is for? Modeler has a ruler.

Lightwave is a tool for all artists and visualization people. One very large portion of Lightwave users is videographers and photographers, both of whom use photometric light readings extensively. Being able to input these into Lightwave would be extremely useful for scene matching.

Just because YOU wouldn't use it doesn't mean that it's not a useful tool.
