View Full Version : XZ roll

I've been experimenting with rolling a ball along it's pitch and bank. It is turning out to be quite complicated.

CAVEAT: I understand the easy way to make a ball roll along two dimensions is to have it align to path (change it's heading) as it rolls along one of the other channels. But this method has too much purpose for my needs...I need the ball to roll at odd angles, without purpose.

So. I have managed to get the proper channel information to the proper channels...but it is all local. I need world coordinates. Because, when the ball rolls along its pitch, and then comes to the point where it should roll sideways a bit on the bank, the bank it all skewed by the pitch and so it doesn't look right. Only with world coordinates does the bank stay locked where it should be...but I can't figure out how to get that working properly.

Anybody have any ideas?

Yeah, it has me stumped, too.
