View Full Version : Newbie Question - Deleting Surfaces

Hopefully this is really easy. I created and named a bunch of surfaces, too many actually and want to delete a few.

So far I have figured out how to copy, paste, and rename the surfaces. I want to delete the surface name so it doesn't show up in the surface editor anymore. Is there anyway to that?

If a surface is show in the surface list but it's not used then next time you'll reload modeler and your object it will not appear..

...but where is the Flush Surface function from Lightwave 5.x?

If you're talking about the Presets panel, right click the texture and click delete.

To continue what jb_gfx was saying, in modeler, just rename the surfaces that you don't want anymore to whatever you now want them to be. Once your object is saved, the next time you load it, it won't be in the surface list anymore. As long as you have a surface connected to that name, it'll show up in the surface editor.
