View Full Version : Texture Mapping Round Objects

I have trouble mapping textures onto round objects. Using sperical or cylindrical mapping I always get seems (even with seamless textures) . Creating things like skysperes (I even tried subdividing a cud to get around the problem), and curved things like cups is a nightmare. I usually have to try to hide the side where the texture has warped at the seem.

I was wondering if anyone knows some good tutorials on how to perfectly map curved surfaces.

if you're certain that the image is seamless, it's probably only evident in the opengl views and not in a render.
