View Full Version : Is there anyway to render orthographically?

Is there anyway to render an orthographic view? meaning that there is no perspective and no vanishing point? Im trying to do this effect where i have many tiny cubes that make up a much larger cube, and each side of the tiny cube has a different piece of video mapped to it. I want to rotate around the larger cube and come to a rest looking at one side of all the tiny cubes, but because theres a vanishing point I can see the other sides of the tiny cubes that are off to the left and right of the camera, when i only want to see the one side that the camera is looking at so the video becomes one seamless image from the fracture cubes it was while moving. any way to do this?

You can get close by moving the camera way back and zooming in. I believe there are plugins to help with this. But no, there is no true orthographic rendering in lightwave.

You need PView, it works great and it's free:
PView (http://www.flay.com/GetDetail.cfm?ID=1487)

Always try looking at Flay.com for these things, it's the place to find everything LW related (especially plugins).
