Hi Guys
I would be very gratful if any you friendly folk out there, knew of the best way to do multiple bevels over shared edges.
check out red lines on attached pic.
Is there maybe a plug-in that can do this......?
otherwise it really seems close to impossible to get all those edges chamfered off...

cheers
Ryan.

Richard Brak's Rounder plug-in would do this

JettoBevel or DAZ Edgebevel (both free plugins).

I would heartilty recommend www.happy-digital.com 's efgefx. It's a shader which fakes bevels and has all sorts of useful shading and texturing it can do to those edges. Great plugin.

There is also a free edge bevel shader here- http://home.att.ne.jp/omega/tabo/3dlabo/p_lwp.html It's PC only though.

Imagine how you feel if you've already bought Rounder only to find you've bought it again in LW8, its a shame you can't still buy it separately if you're using LW7.

You might also look at bevel++
http://www.dtium.com/software/

I have EdgeFX and downloaded the free edge bevel shader to see how it worked. It was a lot slower than edgeFX but I didn't really mess with it very much so my results may not be typical.

Simple, but effective:
Mentory

Mind telling us how that works? It's in Japanese, I can't figure out if it's a shader, procedural, deformer, modeling tool, post effect,

Sure!
Modeling tool, it is.

Short tute:
Have main object in the background with a clear foreground. Run Mentory. Like it? Keep it. No, then undo and run it again changing the numbers in the panel.

And a tip: anytime someone offers a foreign language site, Babelfish is a great start for translating the language in question. Not that they won't mind explaining it but sometimes your own research is that much more valuable.

you can use for FREE www.freetranslation.com or www.google.com and click in translation tool for a couple of languages - but both dont include japanese, unfortunately
