View Full Version : composite input problem

I have noticed a weird degradation of the lower quarter of my videos when plugged in the composite input (no SX8 here).
(I tested it with differents decks or cameras)

You can see like a part transparent grid on top of it. (you can see it on the wooden floor in the attached image)

Is anyone seen anything like this before?

I hope it's not an hardware problem :/

Do you see it all the time (even live sources thru the switcher) or just on captured footage ?

all the time.

Check your cabling. To do this, change the in cable with the out cable. If it is the "in" cable, this should solve the problem when viewing on VTVision.

Next, be sure the card is seated properly.

Next try a new card.

I had a similar problem with a very light herringbone pattern across the entire picture... when I captured in YC or component, the problem went away -- maybe system noise from the computer affects the VT card in composite
