Here is a tree scene that I made yesterday, just for fun. Nothing fancy... just saslite for the grass, and skytracer for the sky.

What do you think?

Where's this tree at so I can go take a picinic under it?

I like it.

I like it too!! How did you model the tree? Or more specifically, how did you do the leaves? I've been trying to figure out how to go about modelling trees and leaves.

There are some pretty good tree tutorials out there. This is one of the better ones that I have found.

Now just desaturate the colors a bit and make a sky more dramatic and you'll have a great image :).

The more I look at this tree, the more I like it. It's not photorealisitic, but it hearkens me to my childhood of tire swings and hide and go seek.

It's different enough from Pixar too, I guess the best way to explain it is the angles of the leaves and trunk are sharp.

It's got a cartoon flair but not cartoonish.

Weird, how someone can simply like an object for being what it is.
