hi all.

I want to edge render.but why layout convert to triangle?
and why layout add some polys?

I'm afraid this is what LW does if you try to render subpatches with outlines. This doesn't happen with non-subpatch objects.

I'm sorry but I don't know a way around it, even if there is.
One thing you can do is to freeze the model, then you get rid of triangles and model stays relatively smooth. It produces very dense mesh though.

Save a copy, freeze it, subdivide with metaform.

He pretty much gave you the answer.

If you are going to render a subpacthed model, you're going to get triangles. The only way to change this would be to change the code.
