I'd like to do a simple button to open a scene I use often, so for the first time I checked the commander window (maybe one of the last.. :) ).

Here is my problem : it works when I "execute" in the commander window, but not when I install it and assign it to a button (-> can't load scene).

Here is the code :

@warnings

generic
{
LoadScene("C:\Documents and Settings\julos\Mes documents\1 comic strip\setupstart\un_lw8.lws");
CommandInput("Generic_ACS4CharPicker_Button_75b");
}

Some ideas why it's not working ?

Not sure why it isn't working, but why not use the 'Recent Files' popup menu instead? It's pretty much a click->choose->load affair.

I brought mine out of hiding and plonked it on the main interface for easy access.

You have the added benefit of choosing from several projects.

Yes That's what I'm using at the moment, I just thought it would be quicker to just click once (lazy me ;) ).

Hmm ... it's formatting the file name wrong ... use this, it should work

generic
{
LoadScene("C:/Documents and Settings/julos\Mes documents/1 comic strip/setupstart/un_lw8.lws");
CommandInput("Generic_ACS4CharPicker_Button_75b");
}

All you need to do is change the backslashes to a slash :)

1. Go HERE (SpinQuad) (http://www.spinquad.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=675)
2. Download script
3. Install as instructed.

The script gives you three choices:
1. Automatically Load Last Scene on startup
2. Offer a choice of last Scene(s)
3. Do nothing.

Installation is a manual process.
You can check out the code (its not compiled).
Also works in LW8.
