Hi all, currently doing landscape modeling, where can i get some "SDTS Files" for diplacement map purpose, Thanks!:)

however, search in google using download SDTS maps free or something like that. sometimes, you've to pay for SDTS.

Okay I've found the files...

But I having problem to load the files into Lightwave, like after i download the file call "LCPOINT.E00" and unzzip it then I load the files into Lightwave using the "Load Image" option in Image editor, but when I select the file and click open, I don't see any files was load in...even I Load Image in Diplacement map also same, what should I do...:confused:

Yeah,,,I get it now,Thats is cool to use Displacement map to do landscape in Layout, but how if I want to do it in Modeler?...or can I load the Displacement object from Layout to Modeler, coz I want to make some adjustment, tweaking something in Modeler....can ?:)

You can save the deformed object in Layout using the File -> Save -> Save Transformed Object menu option and then load that into Modeler.

Or you could use the TextureScape plugin to create an optimized mesh directly in Modeler rather than using the displaced plane technique in Layout.
