hi, im trying to surface a berreta M9 and i need to try and achieve antisotrpoy effect son the metal but its imporant i use fprime since im using radiosity, has anyone come up with a workaround yet?

You'll have to do it the old fashioned way (for now) with microscopic bump maps - fractal noise works well stretched long and thin - it used to be used extensively for brushed metal type effects (there may even still be a preset for it in LightWave).

Yes small bumps together with plenty of blurred reflections give nice anisotropic fx.

I'd use a streched out on one axis procedural to make your life easier. There is also a radial bump procedural that just came out to help with these things...if you need that look too.
