howdy fellows,

just wondering if the new physics system has a way of 'hanging' a ball from a rope or line.... for instance, is it possible to simulate a tetherball or a demolition 'ball'?

just wondering.

thanks

There was a demo video Proton posted showing a wrecking ball knock a hole in the side of a building.

Cheers,

It kind of depends. I'd say the soft body and cloth dynamics are working MUCH better, but that the hard body dynamics still need a little work. They do work, they're just not as consistant as you'd like.

Still its only been a week so we'll see...

The HardLinkFX thing for chains and such is really cool. However the fact that most of this stuff talks to eachother now instead of feeling just slapped on is a HUGE improvment (and a props to the new team)...

Hey Jin.

You'll find an example of a bungee cord scene in the new 8 content. It's in the scenes/dynamics folder.

sweeeeeeeet....

well, it looks like the hard body dynamics is a great value.
