View Full Version : seemless cloud animation loop?

Hey guys, I'd like to create a short cloud animation that loops over and over, but is seemless.

An example of what I'm talking about can be found here:

I would like to do something similar in concept, as far as the clouds. I've played around with SkyTracer and created some cool clouds, however, I'm not sure how to animate them, let alone make it seemless. Now if there's another way that doesn't use LW, I'd like to know that too...

I have looked at this tutorial and it's helped some, but I don't really understand the animating side, and as you can see on the animation, it doesn't loop seemlessly.

There are many ways to make clouds. Skytracer is one, fractal noise on polys, hypervoxels and so on. You can use a procedural texture and use a reference null. If you rotate the reference null the texture will also rotate until it loops back on itself.
