Thanks in advance for any advice.

Anytime I try to start the graph editor in LW8, Layout crashes. Actually, I had the same problem with 7.5 as well.

System information: P4 2.6 HP laptop, 1GB ram, 64 MB graphics, Windows XP Home.

Anybody offer any help?

Thanks,
Scott

Are you using an ATI Radeon?

I had to use a very old driver for graph editor to work.

Never had a problem, sound like a graphics driver issue or something.

I run it in DE mode at work under W2k with an Elsa Erasor X2 graphics card, no probs.
At home, on my "proper" PC I run it under dual-boot and it works in either Win98SE and W2k on a FX5200 card.

It is an ATI Radeon... will attempt different driver.

Thanks,

FYI, from what I've heard ATI cards have poor drivers and OGL support.

In LW 7.0/7.5, that was usually/often caused by having a set of LW6.X .cfg files lurking somewhere on your system. I would suggest doing a search of your system to track down all of the .cfg files that are present. Make backups of all the ones you find...then delete the ones that are not needed. You could also try shutting down Layout, Modeler and the Hub and simply deleting the .cfg files anyway (after backing them up of course, so you can get back to your original setup easily) and then restart Lightwave to recreate them. This would involve some recreation of menus and readding plugins...but it might be the solution.
