Can someone please explain why in most tutorials I see they are upping and downing the grid size - I dont understand what it does

changing the grid size is important as it controls the porportions. the head tut in dan ablans book inside lightwave 7 does not tell you what grid size to use(well atlerast i cant find it) but if you dont have it set up right youcant get the parts and tools to work right. also if you are trying to do anything to scale the gris is important. changing the grid size up and down whiel modeling is like zooming in and out

grid size is further explained in the manual. There is an excellent description of what it does on page 6.12 of the LW 7 manual.
