Hello All,

A while back I did beta testing for a new surface shader plugin called "Lightshaders Metanoise". It is about to be released on this website http://www.lumenumbra.com , so now I am able to show some of the images more publicly.;) Check out the site for more info on the plugin.

So what kind of things would this be good for?

It's all just noises ;). I'm playing around with the demo - nothing special but heh - it's always good to have options. It looks like some of the algorithms are much faster than LW's.

Mylenium, yes, its like add ons to lw procedurals, with many options, and It is fast from the tests I have done. Special is what you can make of it, and what your abilitys allow you to create, its a plugin, not a remake of the surface panel;)

The heck with the procedurals, how are those renders done with just one light?

Also, what makes this different from IFW?

Zarathustra, Sorry thats one method I cannot give away, its one spotlight by the way, no raytrace.

These procedurals can be accessed directely in the channel editors, which makes it much quicker/intergrated to work with, plus it can be used in other areas that IFW cannot, such as the displacement channel, and volumetric HV textures, and any other area that lets you use a texture. So your not limited to use this just where there is a shader tab.
