View Full Version : worker character

This is my first upload for newtek forum...and also first character I have done with LW. I'm using Powerbook 1GHz with 512RAM and doing quite good with the performance side.

I rigged the character with the aid of Timothy Albee's book "character animation". The book is great! I have been learning many many different styles to rig and I have to say Timothy does it the most simple way, and it works. I also put some morphs to the character.

One question. How can I lock an item to a character's arm(well, parenting it to a arm...) so that my character could grap a monkey wrench for example, right from a table, in middle of a scene?

Comments are welcome...about the character :)

Its looking really good!
With regard to your parenting object question theres quite a lot on the forums at the moment and from what I can understand you can't parent an item halfway through an animation with lightwave. You will probably need a 3rd party plugin for dynamic parenting at the moment.
