I知 not sure which type of file to use for image mapping, jpeg, gif or indexed color, or others? Basically I知 run quite a slow laptop and would like to optimize my render time.

Would I lose any visible quality using the 256 indexed color Photoshop files?

Should I set the pixel size of the images to the equivalent render output size?

Many thanks for any help

Jon

--Use TIFF or JPG files, you can save an alpha in TIFF if you need to clip the polygon.

--No, it's not often necesary, but it is for a very good quality or fine details
