View Full Version : Screamernet / ParticleFX

i've tried looking for references to problems with screamernet and particlefx here in the forums (but not the old one though).

i was wondering if anyone had problems getting particlefx to render properly over screamernet. i've had issues where i've put FXLinker on some objects to follow the particles' path. in normal F10 render they're fine. over screamernet, the items' positions are off. they are positioned where they shouldnt be. it's pretty simple enough to bake the motion, but i was wondering whether ot not if anyone has had the same problems, and that if this is truly a bug and should be fixed.

You need to save the particles motions (pfx files) for screamernet.
It seems that screamernet can't compute the particle flow...

you guys saved me a long re-render!
was poking aroung and saw this thread...
at the same time i had a Screamernet rendering progress
which uses particles and hypervoxels the rendering had not progress to the particles yet so i was able to open the scene and save the motion files
and avoid re-rendering about 75frames (@1hr.each!)
