I was thinking of how cool the Newtek community is.
It really is a wild bunch held together by some great
product. NAB was a blast and it was worth the pilgrimage :)
So many talented and creative people all in one room.
People who shape visions and directions of this whacky
industry. I feel so lucky to have shaken your hands and have
you say, Hi Bob..
Geez, some of you know my name. Wild I think at times,
just wild. After all I am just Bob, a geek progammer who
loves video, film and art. Anyway it was all great and
I cant wait to see what Newtek brings to the table next.
Just thoughts passing through my mind.

NAB was great this year. Lots of excitement and expectation among the attendees. HD was all the buzz as you can imagine. The crowds were up from previous years, topping out at more than 95,000.

It was great putting a face to some of forum regulars. Heck, I even won a door prize... "Bob's Strobe Effects" and at the Newtek booth, a hat and Dan Ablan's newest book "Inside Lightwave 8"!

Many Newtek employees were spotted and even Kikki made an appearance. Great big thanks Ted, Ron and the gang for arranging and setting up, Jef, Bob, Steve, Ralph, Don and the rest for great 3rd party demos and of course to all who contributed time, money or door prizes!

Truth is I was yaking with Robert Wilson.
We have become pretty good phone pals.
I was talking to him about purchasing WonderImages
particle effects (think thats the name) and almost
forgot I have LightWave and Aura on my desktop.
We both agree'd we havent even scratched he surface
of what can be done on the Toaster. Its an incredable
bundle. Not your average standalone editor package
but a paint box animation box and editor package.
We sometimes forget all the options we have available
to us in the Toaster. We lock into looking at this one
app we spend most of our time in (VT) and forget that
the world is available to us with these feature rich tools.
And to lighten the heavy lifting there are things like
3D arsenal which I thought was a long overdue thing.
Hey then you got my plugs coming along which will be
there to reduce the load.
If for just a moment we all remember all the tools at our
disposal things look pretty good.

Bob :D
