Does LW now have something like C4:Destruct or Crack it for splitting up objects for Hard FX in layout?

Thanks for the link. I have seen that. Even saw Proton doin' it at siggraph live. :) But, I meant in modeler. The dog in his demo was built as seperate parts while remaining in one layer. With C4 you can run the plug on a simple box and it will go through and chop it up for you and keep it one layer. I don't mind using it. I was just wondering if they've included anything like that in 8.

I don't know about 8, haven't got my copy yet :P

But look for c4 on flay.com. That has a break up plugin.

I dont think it has c4 or crackit, but they work fine for something like this - LW8 Test (http://www.3dink.com/pfx8.zip)

This is using HardFX, a broken wall object, and a few collision objs fxlinked to emitted particles.

That looks cool. I doesn't look that different than what C4 does for that particular job. I saw your issues over at CG Talk, I hope they get some of those fixed up. I asked Duece at siggraph if they were going to put something in to do that. He said, "that seems like a good idea." guess it died there. Thank goodness for C4.
