I am trying to transfer lots of Beta SP footage into the Toaster to be edited. It will stay uncompressed during the edit stage, then the output will be uncompressed files.

What do I capture as, rtv, or avi?

My output needs to be in Quicktime files -at the request of my fx house.

Can I capture in the Toaster 1 as a quicktime (or .mov) file, or do I need to capture as something else, then "render" to a QT file?

My goal is to stay completely uncompressed all the way through to QT.

I'm not a Toaster user, but I'd suggest that if Toaster can't directly output to Quicktime, then go to AVI and select a lossless codec.

You'll then need to render it to a Quicktime. Either use a compositing application, or alternately, I believe that Quicktime Pro for Windows should be able to do file translations.

In Quicktime, 'Animation' codec is a lossless codec. There are others.

I need to be able to do this as well, I need to capture an uncompressed QT in Toaster is this possible?
