Come on Newtek the code is free for download and at this moment the guy who made it has implemented dispersion, volumetrics, quasi montecarlo routines, etc, etc, etc.

Hmm, LightWaves renderengine is good as it is and I dont realyl see anythign this renderbitch does, that LW does not (LW also uses Montecarlo and Photonmapping- techniques).
Final render is a completely different thing though...

Well i think Lightwave's caustics suck ***, but besides that LW is pretty ok...Radiosity could need some better alorithms for shading noise reduction (i hate that it destroys sharp raytraced shadows) and other tweaks maybe...like different sampling rate for additional bounces etc.

Newtek's render engine is beaten by one written by some collage dude, this is not good. They should really fix the color bleeding thingy, and implement quasi monte carlo algorithm, and increase the accuracy and speed of its radiosity algorithms.

BTW, lightwave doesn't use quasi monte carlo algorithm.

Thatīs right LW doesnīt use Quasi motecarlo routines, in the other hand renderbitch is very fast considering is a one-man research and work donīt you think.

He should apply for one os those positions at Newtek. Lets hope LW 8 has some of this cool stuff.
