Hi There,

Has anyone experienced the Toaster identifying MPEG files as audio files only?

Also, I thought that files played in windows media player could be output on the toaster card. Shouldn't this work?

Garcia.

I have the same problems - I haven't been able to play MPEG's on my VT since version 2 :(

HOpe this helps...

I just saw this is the NewTek customer support FAQ. Maybe it will help. It says you need to download a plug-in for MPEG 2.

I haven't done it, so don't know if it is effective.

Cheer,

I have that Elecard player and codec.
Its hit and miss for playing mpeg2's.
Many play just fine on timeline.
Some not at all.
Most will lock up system when scrubbing quickly or holding over icon for preview in file bin.
I usually throw the mpeg2 on the timeline then render out to another format asap for editing and such.

Just my real world experience with it.
