Does anyone know of any high schools currently offering a (LightWave) 3D Animation and Modeling curriculum?

Slightly OT:

If we could have had LW in math class and had to do complex animations with expressions I think I would have stayed awake more than 1/2 the time. Way more exciting than a TI-82 graph. You can even use the discovery version for that. For some the application of knowledge is a major part of learning.

Just my 2 cents...

I used to teach LW at Fox Chapel High in Pittsburgh, PA

I'm working on building support for it here in Fairbanks AK.
Demoed to a group of middle-school and highschool science and math teachers yesterday. With there support, am hoping there will be a call to integrate it as a tool either into the content classrooms or as a tech. option. No question how popular it would be once we get the foot in the door.

Anyone have any documented models for how its being used where it is being used.

Lake City High School in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is using it & I have seen models that the students have created there.
You might contact Mike Clabby, the instructor there to get additional information.

Whoops. Lexicon redundancy.

I mean "model" implementations of LW in the school curriculum,

whether as a course on LW or using LW in a Content (Algebra, Physics, Geometry, Art) class.

I believe McClatchy High was nominated for an Emmy for a project they did with LW. Some of their students are now in my class at Sacramento City College and are really amazing.
