What would be the best way to create a project template?

I would like to create a template that would allow users to enter text but would not allow them to change the graphic on the CG pages.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Some ideas to consider: Create a CG project the way you want, then 'write protect' it. Now everone would have to do a 'save as'. This would only protect the original, not limit it's misuse. But if someone screwed things up, they could just reload the orginal and start over.

In CG Module, you can lock items on the canvas but I find that does not always work right. You could render out your background graphic and bring it in as an element and lock it in place. That way no one could edit it, worse they could do is move it out of place.

For VTEdit you could create a SubProject with your background elements and your CG overlay. Drag that SubProject to the FileBin. Now it can be reused over and over, just replace (inherit) the CG page. That is how we do our BarsToneSlate.

Thanks BradL.

A combination of the first two sounds like what I was looking for.

Again Thanks
