Whats the format/resolution settings for the average theaters - Cinemark like screen? The rendering is converted in a 35 mm film, I think so... Is it the same for a dvd? And what about ntsc/pal?
LW is ready for that, or I need some After FX too?
Any hint, thanks!

short answer for long answer
depend from many things, yes lw can do, give me more info to understand you need. there is a lot of format and resolution used in movie, and depend from many elements.

want are your needings?
are for a curiosity, work or what,
you need to print on 35, 16, or the project will be projected by digital projector. you work all digital or you mix it?

pixelinfected, its easy to find info about dvd, tv formats, but I found alittle difficult about film format. Itīs just curiosity, letīs target a short animation - full scene LW render for 35mm - dude, itīs so interesting !

film is 24 frames, video is 29,9 (ntsc) or 25 (pal) field-pairs.
to bring your LW images to film you need some exposure-device, on which the resolution in pixels depends^^

the academy define some standard

1.85 is 1828 x 988 academy aperture
1.85 is 2048x1556 full aperture (there are a cropping of this format)
when you render and comp for a film recorder (hardware to print on film digital contents) is better to work in full aperture, that help you to avoid cropping during print, and have a better quality.
i hope that help you.
