I have a question concerning the LW stock model cow that has been included as free LW content since way back when.

Will the cow still be included with Lightwave 8 or has the cow been retired? I thought I remember reading somewhere that we'll be getting all new content with 8.

I just hope they resolve the non-bottomless teapot issue...

The cow needs to be upgraded to a subpatch form. I can't believe that NewTek has slacked on this. Out of all feature requests, a subpatch cow has been in the greatest demand. If they don't do it this version, I'm jumpin' boat - cause without a subD cow in [8], LW will never make it in Hollywood. :mad:

I think we're ready for a cow primitive, with adjustable udder size settings. I know, send it to the feature request list... :rolleyes:

My life hasn't been the same since the Eagle in a barrel plugin was dropped from modeler. :(

This is hush hush but I heard something about an Irishman's plug-in - something about SubDeed cow's milk, curdeled at the bottom of
a teapot. *one click!
Strictly for Irish guys.
I can't name my source, sorry.

Forget the cow!

How does NewTek ever expect to compete when they don't have an interactive TeaPot button!

I'll settle for an interactive Cow button though.

Hey,

is the cow complete with the Sasquatch hair too?

That'd be killer dude, chah!

S. Baily Rulez!

it's so 80s. We all know that all of us are caffiene addicts and that coffee and capuccino are so much more caffiene filled than tea... so bring on the cappucino machine! :)

Does LW 8 include a scene with the cow flying into a brick wall and smashing apart into bloody gibs? (Using the new character animation and rigid-body dynamics, of course.)

If you want a "mad cow" you might still have to buy RealFlow. Bone dynamics will help with the shakes and slips though.

Maybe a mad cow out of a canon and through a brick wall?

Newtek, please take the bottom of the teapot!

As much as a bottomless teapot sounds like a dream come true to an Irishman...

there is good reason!
see here:
http://sjbaker.org/teapot/

It is noticable that the original teapot data has no bottom. Some of the data sets that are out there (depressingly, this includes the one in the GLU and GLUT distributions) have added a bottom - but that is definitely 'impure'. Here is the data for the bottom:

Bottom:
{ 118, 118, 118, 118, 124, 122, 119, 121, 123, 126, 125, 120, 40, 39, 38, 37 }

Vertices 118..125:
{ 1.4250, -0.7980, 0.00000 }, { 1.5000, 0.0000, 0.07500 }, { 1.4250, 0.0000, 0.00000 },
{ 0.7980, -1.4250, 0.00000 }, { 0.0000, -1.5000, 0.07500 }, { 0.0000, -1.4250, 0.00000 },
{ 1.5000, -0.8400, 0.07500 }, { 0.8400, -1.5000, 0.07500 }
