Hey guys. I used to be somewhat of a regular and I'm back again with a question. I'm working on my first full female body and am wondering if you guys have any idea where to get some reference photos for it (ideally for free) since I'm just a poor starving artist. I'm looking for something ala www.3d.sk

Are there any other sites out there that you know about that have hi res images of the same woman at different angles? Nude pictures would be ideal but as long as its at least underwear or something I can probably make do. Thanks!

Will

Hmm, seems that no one knows of any. Let me ask you this then. Does anyone have a membership to 3d.sk? Is it worthwhile or no?

I came up with a hand full of good reference material by going to google and clicking on the Image search tab and typing in female face....

also doing a search for female celebrities... will give you lots of free reference material to go by .....

other than that..... buying something like a book ..... or clip art or what ever ...

it's just going to take you some time to build a library of those kinds of things...

anywayz.... just some suggestions...

www.fineart.sk has some pretty good free ref picks, but it too is a paid membership site.

Depends on what you are looking for but if you are of age you might look into some of the fine art sites.

Such as Michelle 7 (http://www.michelle7.com/) [Warning Nudity].

You will even see featured there the great Lee Stranahan.

dude,

if you're looking for free porn, just say so!

in part, america is a great nation because of the abundance of affordable pornography!

actually, i'm surprised that if you're beyond a certain age that a good deal of the female anatomy is not permanently electroplated in your imagination!

(i'm fairly certain that i could perform a good deal of emergency surgery if necessary!)

hmmmm,

the victoria's secret catalog is free... ummmm, MAXIM currently features the anatomy of a very welcoming paris hilton.... the sears catalog may do in a pinch. even newspapers have some pretty compelling jc penny's underware ads....

girl friends are a good source too. i know, i know... 'sure everybody'd like a real girl friend.'

god, i'm so very lonely....

I'm sure he's looking for a girl standing upright, not with an arched back or anything:D

That is why he needs to look in Fine Art. He will see arched an unarched.

Oh and I should mention you might also look into Fashion Mags and Hi end Fashion [usually will have the models in the nude].

why in the world would he be looking for that?! any female photo worth looking at features a woman holding a pose that would almost certainly guarantee extreme back problems in later life.

scoliosis... ooooooh baby..... aaaaaauuuuuuuuuuhhhhh

it all depends on which part of female body you want to model, there are some tiny areas harder to model and texture than others, don't be bad thinking, i'm talking about an ear(yeah, right). 3d.sk gives some free photos this week, if not try.

I stopped into www.3d.sk and that does not look like the site i been too. There is a site somewhere out there, and burried either on this forum or the old forum. The site I am refering to has or had pictures of many woman. Standing with pictures taken from front, back and both sides.

Then again, maybe it was www.3d.sk and they changed their website around.

I've had a recent membership at www.3d.sk (http://www.3d.sk) . It does have a large number of pictures, and extremely high resolution too.

Some of the pics even have the model with a mesh drawn onto his/her skin. Damn! that's hot.

The only problem I have is that the models are very distinctive in their look, and the last thing I want is for someone to see an animation I worked on, and say "Hey! It's that guy from www.3d.sk!". But that's a minor niggle - I think it's a great reference, just make sure you have the disk space to download lots of pics!

I just signed up at www.3d.sk, and so far I'm impressed. Mikeface is right, the folks do have a very distictive look. I'm just learning and I wanted good reference pics, so this should be a good start for references.

Now, how do I explain to the wife these images are for modeling purposes only :D Oh, well.

Paid membership? I never registered as a member there and have access to

http://www.fineart.sk/index.php?cat=2

I guess this is what jerbil22 is searching for...

You're right sire, fineart.sk isn't the paid site... after I signed up through the pop-up window, I realized that the actualy paid site is the one jerbil22 was talking about www.3d.sk.
