I'm an ok lightwave user but there is one thing I've always wanted to know how to do. Can I do a run cycle that can be recorded in some way so that I can apply it to my character whenever I want to? I've created a character that needs to run around an environment, stop at times and walk, jump etc. Is there any way to create sets of animation and then use them when I want?

You might want to look into Motion Mixer, it's a nonlinear animation system included with Lightwave.

Thanks alot. I checked it out and at first glance it seems to be the tool to do the job. The only problem is that I've never used it before. Can anyone give me a quick 'getting started' walk through? I'll catch on pretty quick I just don't have much time for trial and error, my project deadline is close. Thanks

Try the Motion Mixer manual (PDF) from Downloads. :)

If ever a part of LightWave needed an in-depth explanation of its innermost workings, and a really good tutorial, it's Motion Mixer.

I've tried to get my head round it and failed...
