I was looking over the new list of features for Lightwave 8. It doesn't say anything about the built in renderer. Lightwave's built in renderer is getting a little antiquated and I was wondering if I should wait for 8 to upgrade or just go ahead and purchase FPrime. Anyone know anything?

i would (and did) buy fprime anyway, just for the interactivity. being able to see surface, scene, and light changes in almost real time is worth the price to me, even if my final renders still use the 7.5 engine, which in my opinion is still very good.

I just put my order in for Fprime one minute before writing this post. It's the most significant plug-in to come from Worley Labs.

I make a lot of animations and Fprime will speed the rendering immensely. Even if you don't use radiosity, Fprime's smart motion blur will save so much rendering time.
