View Full Version : license.key is a hidden file

I just figured this out on a new installation of lightwave after wiping the harddrive.

The license.key file is hidden file, and on a new installation of windows 2000 folders will be set to not show hidden files.

Just go to folder options > view and select "show hidden files and folders" and then you will be able to find your license.key file. After which you open it with note pad and add your registration number provided by NewTek and save it.

Just wanted to add this in here in case anyone else ran across this issue.

that is strange... not a hidden file for me, and I have wiped the hd and installed LW many times.

I couldn't tell you, when I do a new OS install setting "Show Hidden Files" is one of the first things I do.

That attribute is not sey on mine and I wouldn't have un-set it as it doesn't affect me for the reason stated above...
