View Full Version : Partigon Size with Distance?

It looks to me like partigons stay at the same pixel size no matter what distance from the camera. Can partigons be made to reduce size as the camera dollies away? Thanks for any advice.

Try an envelope on 'Polygon Size', or maybe 'distance dissolve' or use a 'distance from camera' gradient in the transparency channel to fade them out?

Thanks Toby. The envelope on particle size might be a means; I might opt for a way to do it with HV so that I can move my camera around without having to keep readjusting an envelope. Maybe this should be a feature request?

I think your HV idea is the right idea, but come to think of it, why not use a little polygon? It'll render faster... but actually HV is still better, you don't want hundreds of objects to deal with - hv will be much simpler
