Are the realviz discs in there original Boxes?

Or are you simply sent the discs along with the LW upgrade disc and all manuals are electronic?

Ade

Hi there,

I'm assuming all manuals are electronic as the deal came in a lightwave box with just the lw 7.5 disc and three realviz discs. I like to have the manuals to hug and cherish by the fire,in the garden, but you can't have everything and it is a great deal.

thanks Newtek

Hey Ade, your mailbox is full.

BTW your site is looking good. I use FSCommands in Flash to control the size, make it non stretchy. Also some of your links are loading swf files that aren't embedded in a html page. I use a base.swf file which is blank, I embed that into the html page as level 0 and then I use it to load subsequent swf files into different layers. I always make sure my top layer is a giant black square with a 640x480 hole in the middle which acts as the mask.

If that makes sense.

Hey danilo cute pup also.

I was all over the RealViz deal- right away!
I ordered within 1/2 hour of getting the promo e-mail. Nice to see Newtek be Mac-User friendly. Can't wait to mess with Image Modeler!!! So cool, so cool!

I wonder if the Realviz deal is valid in europe too, didn't get a email about it. Of course I could order it online but what did they charge sending the brick -err box to Germany?

Just check with your local reseller. I think you have to be on the mailing list to get the Newsletter. So you should be okay.

I just ordered it a few minutes ago! now with my luck Alias will decide to do something like Maya 5.5 optimized for the G5 and charge like 400, then i will really have no money :)
Lets hope LW8 kicks butt!
I am looking forward to imageBuilder too! i have a class in it next semester, i guess this up date bundle is working out great :)

I got my package on Thursday from NewTek Europe. Four days. Pretty fast. Haven't had time to play around with the Realviz prog's yet but they seem sweet! In the box was also LW 7.5 discs. Dunno why as I ordered a 8 upgrade.

The LW package also has a new serial number. Do we have to register this new number in order to get 8? When I try to register it to get the LW8 Bonus, I get an error message: "We're sorry! The serial number you entered does not show up as an eligible purchase..." ??

I'm jealous of all of you! I did that DFX+ b u l l s h i t deal last summer. I got less the $250 on ebay for it, I think. Damn.

Who knew NT was going to become so Mac friendly? ugh.

Well, I guess I can look forward to a great deal upgrading to 8.5.

Oh yeah, here's my dog:

Cute dog Zara, it's a shame you missed out on the Realviz deal. Sceneweaver looks like it could be good for matching geometry to a background matte.

PLUS! NewTek have just emailed me with an additional gift with this RealViz offer...

D-Storm's UV Edit Pro to download (normally 100 euros!) for either Mac or PC!

I want NewTek's babies! :D

i will buy the realviz offer, but i'm wondering if it will be possible to sell a single element of the suite - stitcher - because i'm already owner of this (very useful and well working) app.

anyone knows something about this? anyone eventually interested? :-)

Only RealViz can tell you this.

Before buying I would call them.

wapangy

Yeah call realviz.
I imagine its possible because its on its own CD with its own SN and CID and all. Seems like any body could register it.

I thought I saw a thread somewhere here that asked if the RealViz bundled apps are working with OSX3. I've yet to dig into the apps, but upon just a quick installation Boot Up and then Shut Down check [email protected] v1.0.1 under OSX3.2 seems to have issues right off the cuff. When resizing the main window with built-in GUI controls at the bottom of the window the controls oval base (graphic) will scramble and then reappear upon different window resizing. Also, the app will cause an Apple Crash Report to be generated at every Quit. Hopefully OSX3.3 will correct those and any other yet unknown issues since I will not be going back to OSX1.5 and never had OSX.2. Just thought some here would like a quick heads-up...

10.3.3 does seem to fix the graphic scrambling thing. It does not fix the crash report, but I've seen that in other apps too and it does not seem to cause any real problems.
Also, in stitcher when it finishes rendering certain formats (quicktime vr) it crashes, although it does save the render, so just be sure the save the scene before rendering and you won't lose anything.

FWIW, I started a >RV/LW Forum Poll (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/showthread.php?threadid=19552)< in the LW Comunity forum. I put it there since the RV bundled apps are both Mac and PC and some PC users may have waited to do the LW8 upgrade and taken the RV package instead. The poll has all of 5  votes thus far with 10 times the number of views so I thought I should post a heads up here as well.

I filed a report with a RealViz support rep and sent them screen shoots, etc... We'll see if something can be done about them. I hope this isn't the tip of issues to come - so far I've only had time to install and start/quit the apps.

I still think we need a LW/RV forum here in the NT-BBS, the RV forums are dead - IMHO.

Has anyone else upgraded from version 6.5 to 8.0 taking advantage of this offer?
It says we get 7.5 as an electronic upgrade(download) + the RealViz CDs...

I just upgraded, and according to that info, I should be able to get the LW update immediatley - if it is indeed a download?!?

Shed any light? Anyone?
Thanks,
Steve
