okay..you lot have seen it already in the usa but us brits only got it this week in the shops!

the mini serise is out in whsmiths and woolworths for 10.99 which is real cheap for a mini serise

the film is just under 3 hours long and i was really surpised at the quality and the storyline/acting which is above your average star trek story for sure..nearest rival for me would be babylon 5 so i thiink it's a "hit" and i'm looking forward to the first season's worth of shows now it has the green light.

fx were ace...done again with lightwave..as per usual!

cool show

go get it!

Only 9.99p inc postage from www.blackstar.co.uk or www.play247.com, 9.74 from www.choicesdirect.co.uk (+p&p from www.amazon.co.uk). I'm not really into to this walking down to the shops to buy stuff lark these days :-)) That's why someone invented the Internet and credit cards :D

As I have a voucher or two floating around I may get a copy from Woolies though :-)

therte a 30 min tv speacial on it but no big stuff like techie things from the cgi department or a director sound track...just the film and the tv special..but for 10.99 it's a bargin and the film is very good..i'm re watching it now that i've seen it once!

going to send off for children of dune next..more lightwave stuff in that too!

Yeah I bought COD mainly for the Lightwave stuff but it was a good show as well. I might have to pick up the BSG. :D

You still have Woolworth over there in the UK? Man they went out of business 20 years ago here in the US. Maybe it's a different Woolworths?

Yeah, but it's not as impressive looking as the original series box set :)

Well...call me old fashioned but I really prefer the true classics to be close at hand :-) I really must scrape together the pennies for a proper digital camera one of these days, using my old DV camcorder just doesn't quite hack it these days :-)
