Hi, I am still very new to LW. I am quite OK now with modelling, but still need helps when it comes to texturing.

I am very interested in achieving the look of Italian Glass shown here:

Italian Glass (http://www.retroglass.com/italian/italian.html)

I really like the light blue vases in the middle, and the orange one all the way to the right. The turqouis color in the upper right looks pretty night as well.

Can someone please point me to the right direction in how to achieve such effect? I would be very grateful.

Thanks!

Atip

I think such a look would require Sub-Surface scattering. The glass is opaque, but lots of light is passing through it. It almost looks waxy (except for the shiny look).

subsurface scatter would be best but you could get a similar look using weight maps and a gradient connected to the surface thickness.
