Just wondering if you guys knew of any Easter Eggs inside VT[3]. When it was first released there was rumor of some but I've been unlucky in finding any.

Well. Here is something fun. But only if you are finished with all your hard production work. Send your boss to lunch and try this:

hints:
-Inside the About Box
-Shift Key must be held down

ah yes.. this is different. This has actually been in Vt[3] since it's initial release but no one has found it. :o(

ok.. more hints i suppose.

1. Inside the About Box
2. Shift key must be held down
3. You'll need to move your mouse over an area inside the left half of the large V inside the VT Logo. The area is the corner where the top of the V and the slanted side of the V meet.

This sounds very confusing I know, but short of drawing you a picture thats the best i could do. You will know you've got the right spot when your mouse pointer changes. When you've found the spot, *CLICK* and you'll get some nice desktop toys.

Forgive this request, but if possible.....

I don;t have a VT3 but I'm extremely curious. Can someone do a screencapture and lemme see?

If not, no biggie. It just sounds cool.

Cool  :D  I'm particularly partial to the watermelon cruncher. Wish I had it to straighten out Bill's Buddies in Redmond the other day when Windoze kept blue screening and complaining that my bios wasn't @*%& power complient or some such garbage.

I found those toys back when VT was in beta and posted about it, but no one commented. Wonder what their original purpose was. They actually run as a module, so maybe they were test pieces of code....

yea, thats not too far from the truth. I use the "gizmos" code as a starting point for new modules. For those of you who might be thinking of scripting your own tool, you could start there as well.

Demonstrating the power of Tscript and skinning,

I *almost* had the game minesweeper working in the toaster. It was very close and actually everything worked but it had pre-setup mine fields. I never got it far enough to actually randomize the mines in the field.

also

Another sweet toy was the Gun Turret. I had a little gun turret that docked itself on the side of the screen and it motored up and down following your mouse pointer. Then occasionally, it would fire a shot.

ah.. the fun with tscript and pshop. :D

Is the plaintext script for these toys in the distribution for us to look at and learn from?

Got Photoshop, can't wait to learn TS! :D
