View Full Version : Logo Hole Punch Problem

Logo problem...I used the spline tool and traced, then froze each element of this logo. In another layer I did the same for all the holes that need punching in the logo. I have used drill.solid drill (with extruded punch layer) and boolean subtract.....and Modeller freezes everytime.
As a comparison I created a ball in layer 1 and a disc in layer
2 and all the above functions worked in puncing the hole.
Any ideas? I have attached the file if anyone is interested in
helping. Thanks!

Ive got a result...yes I tried your way and I got a stall every time as well.

I tripled the goemetry and subtracted the holes.

Im not sure if thats the result you want but its the best I can do!!!

Thanks everybody. Soon after posting I remembered the tripling
necessity. It worked for me too. I really appreciate the swift and
helpful response!

That logo is way OTT on the point count.
I personally would have gone for a tidy up before attempting to cut the holes. Even then, there are 'sections' missing from it.

It probably would be better to use the initial object as a template and create curves from that to build a newer, tidier logo.

Just a thought..
