after almost 3 months of nonstop labor, i finally finished a 3 min (2m15s plus titles) anim featuring custom characters built in lightwave and rigged and animated in poser. i've uploaded it to my website, with movie stills and a bit of exposition about its creation.

the whole enchilada (yes that's the whole movie) i've crunched down to only (!) 27megs in quicktime format. you'll need to get the 3ivx codec in order to view the movie and i've made the codec downloadable (for both pcs & macs) from the same page as the movie.

Couple of critiques..

..the models don't really seem to be very flexible for the types of martial arts moves they are trying to execute. I think the shortness of the limbs takes away a sense of snap with the punches and kicks.

..the voices kind of grate on the senses when trying to match them up with the characters.

..and mostly, the whole thing seems kind of creepy in a stalking, don't take no for an answer kind of way.

Other than that, all the technical stuff seems pretty well done. Voice synchronization is good even considering my 2nd point.

Hmmmm, I liked the voices and the dialog. Characters textures seemed a bit too shiny for my taste. Expression and reactions were enjoyable. Body modeling seemed a little odd in places. like the Guy's upper arms and sholders. Nice to get a complete animation, though. with dialog, foley, and score. I really liked it. (Although I am right in the middle of Sly Cooper, who is being stalked by Carmilta Fox, so the turnabout seems fair)
