I`d add more variation in the texture; I`d give it eyelids and meniscus and a real eyeball with geometry iris and pupil; I`d put more polys into the tips of the horn and spines, so you can`t see the poly edges; I`d give it gums for the teeth to sit in; and I`d give the render moodier lighting, with the eye of the beast looking directly at me.

If you`re going for cute you can leave out some of the above, of course.

Hope this isn`t totally useless to you.

thanx, espacially thanx for noticing that horn problem
right now i am adding some variation to the texture
like scars and stuff. the main problem is that the texture is procedural is there any easier way to convert it into image (not including Surface Baker)?

Sure. Just take zero distortion screen grabs of the head from each mapping plane and slap these images onto the model. To do it nicely you have to put all the layers of each channel, (bump, spec, ref, diff, etc...) into the colour channel and do separate renders, with luminosity at 100% and all the lights turned off, if I remember rightly. It`s not easy, but it can be done. Don`t you have LW7.5? Why don`t you want to do it the modern way, with the baker?

And in any case, why do you need to turn the procedural into an image? You can layer your own, drawn images on top of what you already have there!
