As a freelance graphic artist (print and animation), what types of contracts should I be presenting to a customer before doing a job; once the details of the job have been worked out?

So far I've just been signing a "non-disclosure agreement" and excepting an email from the client confirming the details and price of the job.

Does anyone know of a website that will help me determine what types of contracts and forms I need as well as give templates or examples?

What types of contracts do you guys use on a daily basis?

Hi,

You could take a look at this book which is updated every year:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0932102115/ref=sib_dp_pt/002-2526632-8823237#reader-link

It's called Graphic Artists Guild Handbook and gives prices and guidelines for the "Arts" industry.

It has some stuff in there about Computer Animation.

You may also want to check this out:

http://www.allworth.com/Authors/Bio_TC.htm

Tad Crawford specializes in forms and laws for artists of all kinds.

Hope this helps. ;)
