View Full Version : Want to make jpeg stills from rtv..easiest way?

02-11-2004, 08:23 AM
I want to take some rtv footage I have and grab make into jpeg stills. I want to burn these to a cd so I can take into my family pc and make dvd covers or use on a webpage (so I can send to my webmaster).
I tried to drag the rtv into my cg but the clear still rtv is always blurred on the cg screen, so I can't save it there.
Is there a third program like photoshop that works well?
Please be specific on how to do this..AND THANKS!

Did you try Aura?

Just click on the frame you want and save the single frame.

Like Prospector said, in Aura, you'll have to open the "Video Grabber" panel under the "windows" pull down.
Hit "grab frame".
Under the file pulldown, choose "Mode" and select the file type.
Then select "Export"-"Image".
Then you gotta navagate the bazzar method of selecting the directory.

I think that's everything. I just shut down the Edit Bay and I ain't firing it back up at this hour!:p
Good luck.

Hopefully you're using VT3. You can do this in VT-Edit.

Place the posbar where you want to take the pic from and then rightclick and choose render seleceted time range.
in the render panel choos jpg for the file type and most important,
put teh same inpoint and ouptoint to get just one frame. You might want to uncheck the audio check box also.

That's another way of doing it.
