View Full Version : what chapter in the manual?

i want to start learning how to model sommething by first making a drawing and then upload the drawing in LW so i can start modeling over the drawing....what chapter should i read in the book for this...ive been looking but i haven't found it out.

anny help would be most appreciated.

I think you want the section on "Backdrop, Modeler", 27.13-27.16.

thnks for the reply....

ok i have checked the chapters in the manual...but it doesn't say how to upload a drawing into modeler:confused:

what i did was

display options->backrdrop->and then selected a picture that was on my HDD...

the pic showed only in one window and it was extremely small .....when i tryed an make it bigger it was looking verry blurry

Best advice I could give you is: be brave and press a few more buttons.
The numbers (64 128 512...) are for resolutions.
If your image is small (in resolution) it will be blurry.
You have to designate which window the picture will appear in; it's not automatic.
You've done all you need.

You might want to do this tutorial from the LightWave section on the NewTek site. Among other things, it walks you through setting up background images for modeling reference.
